Calvin Christian School is accepting applications for an Elementary Music Teacher (0.84 FTE) for the 2026–27 school year.
This position includes teaching Kindergarten through Grade 6 music classes, as well as choir for Grades 3–6, within a vibrant Christ centered school community. The successful candidate will be passionate about nurturing musical skill, creativity, and joyful participation while supporting the faith formation of students. There may be an opportunity to increase teaching time for candidates interested in teaching additional subject areas.
Primary Responsibilities
• Teach classroom music to students in Kindergarten through Grade 6
• Lead and develop an elementary choir program for Grades 3–6
• Plan engaging, age-appropriate lessons that support musical literacy and expression
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues and support school-wide activities and events
Qualifications
• Valid Manitoba Teaching Certification
• Bachelor of Music or related post-secondary degree preferred
• ORFF Level 1 certification preferred or willingness to work toward certification
• Commitment to Christian education
